This is the best ice cream for someone who can’t have dairy, peanuts, or gluten. We came in on Friday night and Aaron was manning the ship solo. At first I was like “oh man we are going to be in line forever..” but Aaron get it moving fast and was just incredibly nice to the people. Every time I thought he was going to have an attitude or roll his eyes he just answered with a smile and said thank you to everyone coming in. It’s rare these days to get good service, it just is. These young kids just don’t care and expect a lot. Not Aaron! Dude gave me hope for the future generation and made me love this ice cream even more. We drove from Greensboro at 7pm to make it before closing, that’s how much I love this ice cream. Aaron needs a raise, promotion… something! Good kid right there!

I am so impressed!! I have never tried dairy free ice cream before and this may have sold me on it! I tried the brown sugar cinnamon flavor and it was SO YUMMY!!! perfect treat for the summer and everything is gluten AND dairy free. Highly recommend trying if you are curious!

So I’m not gonna lie I was pretty skeptical to try this ice cream because I saw dairy free gluten-free and immediately thought what kind of ice cream is going to satisfy my sweet tooth when you’re taking away all the guilty pleasures, but it was actually pretty good. I had the “I need someone to feed” ice cream, which was comprised of brown sugar cinnamon. It pretty much taste like cinnamon toast crunch, but just an ice cream form. I had it on a waffle cone and it was such a nice treat after a long work day. Prices were not too crazy. They offer an array of other options which also have really cool creative names. I definitely can’t wait to try some other flavors, but it’s definitely worth the hype so next time I don’t judge ice cream shop by its name or offerings. Definitely check them out for yourself!

The ice cream is SO good! It’s gluten, dairy and egg free! The taste was amazing! We got the second date cake (chocolate brownie), can’t all be cookie (cookies & cream), forklift hug (strawberry ice cream with candied pretzels and ice cream & cake & cake (birthday cake). Every single thing we ate was SO good! The ice cream tasted like regular ice cream! The brownies, cookies and waffle cones were so good! For being gluten free they were full of flavor! If you’re in Charlotte you have to stop here for some dessert! We loved it! The area it’s located in is nice a calm. A cute little dessert shop! We loved everything about it!

Updated review: In all honesty, we visit Seemingly Overzealous on a weekly basis… sometimes more! Granted we are within walking distance but it’s so good! It’s been about 10months since my last review and it has only gotten better! The staff, and owners, are wonderful people and always have top-notch service! Recently they introduced ice cream Sammie’s which are amazing! The cookies are the perfect softness and pairs well with their rotating ice cream flavors! Make sure to ask what variety they have as it’s always a nice surprise to see! Highly recommend this place! Original review: The perfectly quaint ice-cream shop that just hits the spot! Fun variety of flavors that you don't find around Charlotte. Egg-free and dairy free that tastes delicious! Honestly, you can't tell a difference! Perfect way to end an evening at camp north end or to just indulge to beat the heat! Worth checking out!
